About me
Since you have come to this page I am assuming you want to know more about me and our story! It is a bit long (I know) but, you will know why I am doing what I am doing. So, let's dive in!
I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2019, completing my Masters in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. Before coming to the UK, I worked in my family business of road construction and hotel.
When I came to the UK in 2018, I was fascinated to see the concept of Ready meals - so convenient and so easy!
When I tried one of the Indian meals, I found them bland and of poor quality. I said to myself - 'THIS IS NOT THE REAL INDIAN FOOD'.
With my childhood inspiration to start my own company and my restaurant industry experience, I thought I could provide a better-tasting meal with a lot of plant-based options as most of our cuisine is vegetarian and the idea of Spice Story was born!
Soon after, I won £12000 at Venture Further competition - an annual business competition run by University of Manchester and invested all of the money in Spice Story and today we are in numerous independent stores in the North West.

My grandfather's story embodies the true spirit of a rags-to-riches tale. Starting as a laborer in a small construction company, he never wavered in his belief that he could achieve something greater. Through relentless determination and hard work, he defied the odds and founded his own construction company, which eventually grew to become one of the largest in central India.
His unwavering resilience and never-give-up attitude serve as an endless source of inspiration for me. It was his guidance and support that led me to pursue my dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. With his blessing, I embarked on a journey to complete my Masters degree in the UK, with the dream of one day making him proud by graduating from one of the country's finest universities.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans, and my beloved grandfather passed away before I could fulfill that dream. Spice Story emerged as a way to honor his memory, to celebrate the values he instilled in me, and to continue his entrepreneurial legacy.
